CiRCLETECH project at a glance

CiRCLETECH project will be raising the scientific excellence of the cooperating partners, the University of Miskolc, Technische Universiteit Delft and Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology in the field of sustainable circular economy research, to form a long-lasting Research Hub, across Northern Hungary. The creation of the Research Hub on Sustainable Circular Economy (CiRCLETECH Hub) will provide the basis for future cooperation and operation of a regional excellence centre creating a meaningful impact on the regional and national level on the circular economy, but also on involvement in Horizon Europe.

CiRCLETECH group will create a joint multidisciplinary research work plan implementing cooperatively to find solutions to common research challenges and opportunities that all Partners face: Connecting technological and socioeconomic research activities in the field of the sustainable circular economy for boosting research excellence and management capacity of the universities.

The cooperation in joint research coupled with capacity-building activities will help the involvement of the University of Miskolc jointly with its partners in European research in the field of Sustainable Circular Economy and attract EU funds and talent to the region, connecting it to European Research Area (ERA). CiRCLETECH will help the development of scientific excellence and research management capacities by:

  • Improving networking and internationalization through mobility, events, and joint programmes with Partners
  • Improving skills and knowledge in the field of formulating research strategy, creating research ideas and securing research and innovation funds and grants as well as implementing and executing such programs successfully
  • Helping to understand European Research policy and challenges
  • Achieving dedication at the strategic level within the institution and regionally
  • Creating a stable and inspiring research environment with long-term perspectives involving the partners, but also industrial, governmental and non-profit stakeholders at regional, national and EU levels. The University of Miskolc along with Technische Universiteit Delft and Lappeenranta–Lahti University of Technology is a member of KIC EIT RawMaterials, will also consider the synergies with programme parts of the European Innovation Ecosystems and the European Institute of Technology.
